Pulsation Dampeners for Metering Pumps

Halving the cost, and tripling the performance of dampening high pressure diaphragm head metering pumps. CHOOSE: Smooth Pressure & or Flow, no resonance, using an elastomer, or "Flexflon" etc.
1. For double layer PTFE pumps, Double TFE Diaphragm dampeners
2. Elastomer gas bag and flow fluctuation smoothing
3. Elastomer bladder and pressure pulsation damping
4. Stop interactive resonance with Elastomer or "Flexflon"
5. Jacketed dampeners for Jacketed pump heads.
6. For Ultra Temp remote head Metal diaphragm dampeners
*For flow fluctuation smoothing only: Inefficient one connection accumulator versions are available at higher cost.
**How many one connection silencer mufflers, filters, capacitors, have you seen?
1. For double layer PTFE pumps, Double TFE Diaphragm dampeners
Shock Wave and flow fluctuation free with FlexOrber (FLo and SoG) dampener interceptors
Hazard class tell tale port from between primary seal and secondary containment seal
Huge dead volume of compressible drive fluid 4 times pumped volume of compressible system liquid, causes lost motion, resulting in shocks

2. Elastomer gas bag and flow fluctuation smoothing
For externally corrosive environments with elastomer gas bags. Tall & thin, an economic all stainless design. Sacrifices diameter ratio to port size. Loss of pressure pulsation dampening efficiency. For flow fluctuation smoothing – our 1965 original “gas in the bag” + SS shell

3. Elastomer bladder and pressure pulsation damping
Where pump drive is carbon steel, dampener drive can be also, and so the savings. With elastomer bladder. Short & fat, stainless steel liquid contact parts best pressure pulse dampening. For pressure pulsation interception – pressure pulsation is dissipated by a large ratio of connection diameter to dampener diameter.
4. Stop interactive resonance with Elastomer or "FlexFlon"
Individual pipes from check valves to inside a large diameter chamber, stops heads “talking” to each other. The interconnection of heads that generate velocity jump shock, sets up high frequency resonance.

5. Jacketed dampeners for Jacketed pump heads
Jacketed dampeners are only available in the flow through connection continuous self-purging configuration to ensure constant temperature.

6. For Ultra Temp remote head Metal diaphragm dampeners
FlexOrber metal diaphragms have to be large diameter and short stroke. Dampeners are 20 to 100 times pump volume. Consequence “HUGE”. Dampener with metal diaphragm and heating jackets connected to remote pump head Pipes prevent heat transfer to the pump hydraulic drive end. |

Pulsation dampeners are designed to address pressure pulsation, which is caused by the resistance of the system to flow. Therefore our pulsation dampeners focus on the system related responsibility and are less related to pump liability. PUMPS make FLOW, SYSTEMS cause PRESSURE, pressure pulsation is a system response, AND a system responsibility NOT a pump manufacturers liability. When you see a pulsation dampener or a pump of particular interest, please request literature dedicated to that subject.
"Dampeners that do, flow goes through, but pressure pulsation does not." |
